Everyone seems to love it when The Sarah Jane Adventures crosses over with Doctor Who - Journey's End was epic and The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith was fabulous - so why stop there? Here are some thoughts about other shows they might like to cross SJA over with... The X-Files ![]() When it comes to dealing with aliens and creepy stuff, Mulder and Scully are among the best, but they could still learn a few things from Sarah Jane and her friendly approach to dealing with extraterrestrial visitors. Maria’s already in Washington, so it’s not an incredible leap to believe they might all bump into one another at the scene of a UFO crash… Twilight ![]() Perhaps the Bannerman Road gang, with their happy-go-lucky attitudes and optimistic approach to life, could help poor Bella Swann to cheer up a bit when her boyfriend’s out of town. Plus Sarah Jane would wipe the floor with those bad vampires, with her sonic lipstick, a dash of ingenuity and a withering put-down. Glee ![]() We’ve heard a rumour that some of the SJA team are pretty good singers, and now that Clyde is embracing his ‘uncool’ side, he’d probably love to join the quirky school choir in this show – and maybe the New Directions! kids could take a turn saving the Earth from alien invasion? Nancy Drew ![]() Yet another plucky young amateur investigator muscling in on Sarah Jane’s patch – with Nancy’s nose for a mystery, though, she could be very useful to the team, and we’re sure Sarah would warm to her eventually, as she has to the rest of her little gang! Buffy the Vampire Slayer ![]() We could see the two teams of wisecracking, evil-defeating teens striking up something of a rivalry, but when the world really needs them, they pull together - with a little help from their more experienced mentors. Torchwood ![]() We’re not the first to say it and we certainly won’t be the last, but poor old Team Torchwood would do well to pay attention to Team Bannerman Road’s superior success rate, admirably low number of fatalities and can-do attitude. Plus maybe Sarah can finally wear some leather. Sanctuary ![]() Dr Helen Magnus and Sarah Jane have a similar philosophy of protecting unusual life forms whenever possible rather than hunting them, and they’re both incredibly youthful-looking for their age and independently wealthy. While they bond over cups of tea, the youngsters on their teams can swap terrifying monster-hunting gadgets. Battlestar Galactica ![]() All right, so we’re not exactly sure how this would work, but surely Laura Roslin and Sarah Jane Smith are some kind of long-lost cousins? Also, we’d be interested to see what the Cylons would make of the human-loving K9. |
