Don't be so silly, you tell yourself â you're Sarah Jane Smith! You've faced Sontarans, Daleks, dinosaurs and goodness knows what. You've survived conspiracies and cults. You've saved the Earth from destruction more than once. The other week you sent the Patriarchs of the Tin Vagabond packing without even putting down your cup of tea!
This is different, though. You do that sort of thing all the time, you're used to it. But this is your first Parents' Evening.
And you're already late, great. And you promised Luke you'd meet him at the school gates at 6pm sharp - he's been at Clyde's for tea. It's his first Parents' Evening, too.
You're grabbing your bag and heading out of the door, and suddenly you think â what will the traffic be like? And you're seized by a crippling pang of indecision. Walk or drive?
You decide to drive â if you walk, you'll only be all breathless and flustered when you get there, and that just doesn't look good.
No, better to walk. There's nothing you hate more than sitting in traffic queues, and you want to seem calm and collected in front of Luke's teachers.
