Story: Ghost Town - Sarah Jane Smith Audio Adventures, Episode Four Synopsis: Sarah and Josh go on a relaxing trip to Romania, but, of course, strange things are afoot... Sarah Moments: * On a flight to Romania, she teases Josh about being scared of flying * Sarah sells Morton Harwood * Sarah drags Josh on a nice, long walk around the village * She meets a mysterious stranger, Christian, and goes for a drink with him * Christian invites Sarah to dinner * Sarah and Josh come up with a plan to record the next appearance of the apparition * Sarah and Josh go to the university to investigate Dmitri * Sarah works out what's causing the hauntings Capture, Rescue and Mortal Peril: * A terrifying apparition appears in Sarah's room in the middle of the night! Josh comes to the rescue once it's all over * A terrifying apparition appears in Sarah's room in the middle of the night! Again. * A terrifying apparition appears in Sarah's room in the middle of the night! This time Josh and Yolanda see it too, when they come to her rescue! * Sarah has dinner with Christian, and he tries to shoot her! But not before he's explained the entire plot. Sarah wrestles the gun from him and Josh arrives just in time to knock him out! Quotes: * 'So, let me get this straight. This is a holiday. No spies, no murders, no cases to investigate, you're just here to relax with your old mate Yolanda, who just happens to chase spies, murderers and the same sort of things you go in for.' 'Used to! She's retired now! She said we should just come out there and enjoy the scenery.' 'In Romania? Right.' 'Open your mind, Mr Townsend! This will be the best holiday you're going to get this year, mate. I hear that there are some really beautiful places to visit!' 'Um... great. Well, I hope the beer's cheap.' 'Oh, typical!' - Josh and Sarah, on the plane * 'Sorry, I've not introduced you! This is Josh Townsend, he's... he's a very good friend of mine.' 'Pleased to meet you.' 'How do you do.' 'She means I'm daft enough to help her when she gets into scrapes.' 'Ah, the unwilling sidekick! So nothing's changed then, bar the roles!' - Sarah, Josh and Yolanda * 'If there's one thing about me, I don't scare easily, and I don't make things up!' - Sarah, that's two things... * 'Call me old-fashioned, but I have a habit of exhibiting instant caution to strange men!' - Sarah * 'Do you know what makes a really good journalist - or a really good anything, for that matter? It's someone who sees beyond the facts, beyond the talk. It's someone who can make connections.' - Sarah * 'Look, SJ... Do you, uh, want some company tonight?' 'Certainly not, hop it!' - Josh, being adorably overprotective, and Sarah * 'It's like a flaming Scooby Doo plot, isn't it, Sarah?' 'Ssh! Thinking.' - Josh and Sarah The Panel Said... Sarah Watch: paranoidangel: Although she gets really scared you know there has to be a good reason for it, and of course she doesn't trust anyone. 8/10 Llin: She's very determined in a very scary situation. And she and Josh have cute banter! 8/10 Story Watch: paranoidangel: For some reason it's just not terribly exciting, I don't know why. 6/10 Llin: I listened to this for the first time in the dark with a storm outside, and I had to hide under the covers. It's terrifying! 8/10 |
