Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre Story: Mirror, Signal, ManoeuvreSynopsis: Sarah goes to India to investigate a germ warfare conspiracy, but she has no idea what sheâs letting herself in for⦠Sarah Moments: ⢠She gets irate at an over-enthusiastic taxi driver who recognises her ⢠Sarah goes to India ⢠Sarah smacks a bad guy over the head with an ashtray ⢠She sneaks around the Scala offices and finds lots of sensitive information on their computers ⢠Sarahâs enemy is revealed at last! ⢠The bad guys are going to poison millions and frame Sarah for it, but Sarah uses the power of grammar to give Josh a secret message! Capture, Rescue and Mortal Peril: ⢠Someone in a jeep tries to run Sarah over! But she manages to make him drive into the sea! ⢠Sarah is captured and locked up in a dark room for an entire day ⢠Sarah tries to strangle Wendy with a seatbelt, causing the car to crash into the river! Itâs no earthly use, but I canât repair it, because they donât make the parts for it yet.â âYet?â âI mean, any more.â â Sarah and Wendy ⢠âWhat did you hit him with?â âThe ashtray. I said smokingâs bad for youâ¦â â Wendy and Sarah ⢠âI could have got help to him sooner if you werenât so overcautious about contacting the two of us, or about telling us about your frequent house moves to avoid all these imaginary pursuers, or about changing your mobile so frequently and forbidding us to call you directly! Youâre looking in your rear-view mirror all the time for something thatâs not there!â â Nat thinks Sarah is overreacting ⢠âIâve been chased by jeeps on beaches and stalked by bogus policemen, and you wonder why Iâm always looking into my rear-view mirror?â âSarah, you taught me to keep it factual, so listen to your own advice. Thereâs no conspiracy here. Youâre exaggerating things!â âNat!â âDoes it say âjournalistâ in your passport, Sarah, or is that as fake as your business card?â â Sarah and Nat ⢠âCan journalists like us have close friends, do you think? Can one get that level of trust if they know youâre an investigative journalist?â âI think so, yes. I hope so.â â Wendy and Sarah ⢠âWe have to save millions of lives, Nat!â âIâve heard that one beforeâ¦â â Sarah and a sceptical Nat ⢠âItâll poison huge amounts of water, itâll poison millions, and lay waste to unimaginable areas of land!â âWhat for?â âOh, blackmail, terror⦠They didnât actually have a mission statement in their dastardly plan file!â â Sarah and Nat ⢠âThe less she tells you about, and the less things she worries about, the happier Iâll be.â âSJ?â âDid you want something, Josh?â âAre you ok?â â Sarah uses the less/fewer thing (see The Tao Connection) to alert Josh to danger, and, bless him, he cottons on right away ⢠âTime to go home.â âWhereâs home now, Sarah? Sarah Watch: paranoidangel: I like her in this - it seems like she's clueless but actually she knows exactly what's going on. 8/10 Llin: She turns the tables on the bad guys, wicked style. 8/10 Story Watch: paranoidangel: I felt like I'd missed something that immediately went before this, but apart from that it's quite good. 8/10 Llin: Very exciting, snappy dialogue, everyone's on top form! 9/10 |
