Things to Do on Monday Evenings

It's only been twelve weeks, but it seems like there was never a time that our Monday evenings weren't brightened by a new episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures. But now - for those of us watching on digital - it's finished, and those with terrestrial aren't far behind. What a downer! What are we going to do with our Monday evenings now?
Well, here are a few suggestions, to keep you going until next September!

1. Watch an old episode every Monday at half four, just to keep hold of that cosy 'it's time for Sarah Jane' feeling.
2. Refuse to accept the truth. Keep tuning in to CBBC anyway, and whatever show is on, pretend that it's SJA and the gang are going to turn up any minute. Come up with excuses for why they aren't onscreen.
3. Become obsessed with other shows that the SJA actors have been in, and scour shops and the internet for old episodes of Peak Practice, EastEnders and Doctors.
4. Write excessive amounts of fanfiction, with increasingly outlandish subjects. Luke and Clyde are turned into penguins? Sarah Jane decides to become a tube driver? Chrissie is secretly a member of UNIT?
5. Spend hours at the shops trying to find clothes that make you look like the characters in the show.
6. Rediscover your love of Classic Doctor Who – if you start with The Time Warrior and watch two twenty-five minute episodes every Monday night, you should just about get to The Hand of Fear before Season Three starts!
7. Get a part-time job and save up to attend all the signings and events once Season Three gets started.
8. Go out to the park or the shops, and try to spot people who might be aliens.
9. Dig out all your old issues of Doctor Who Magazine and Doctor Who Adventures, and cut them up to make a big SJA collage.
10. Get a gang of friends together, assign characters, and just play at being the SJA gang.
11. Make your own working Mr Smith out of cardboard and shiny paper.
12. Send an impassioned email to the BBC every time you come up with an idea for what should happen in the next series of the SJA.
13. Start petitions for minor characters to have their own spin-offs. Did that cashier from Warriors of Kudlak ever get that salon job? What does Professor Rivers get up to when she's not helping Sarah out? Does Dave Finn have a wacky talking pet that only he can hear?
14. Read some classic literature, but to make it more interesting, every time you read the name of the main protagonist, replace it with 'Sarah Jane'.
15. Rig it so that you can watch episodes of SJA backwards, and listen out for hidden messages.
