Revenge of the Slitheen

Story: Revenge of the Slitheen, The Sarah Jane Adventures Episode One and Two
Synopsis: Maria and Luke start their first day at Park Vale school, and meet another new boy, Clyde, who likes Maria but thinks Luke is weird.
There's a new block at the school, and weird things are happening – food going off, strange smells, teachers acting oddly… Luke and Maria go to investigate the new block, with Clyde tagging along, and discover that there are Slitheen in the school, posing as teachers, and Luke has accidentally told them the equation they need for their plan to destroy the Earth!
The kids are chased by Slitheen, and Sarah, investigating the construction company that built the school, escapes another one to come and rescue the children. The Slitheen turn out the sun, but Clyde works out that vinegar can hurt them, and they all run to the school. Luke and Sarah manage to shut off the Slitheen machine, and some of the Slitheen manage to get away, while others are trapped with the exploding machine.
Afterwards, Sarah tells Clyde about the Doctor, and shares a hug with Luke.
Sarah Moments:
• She kisses Luke goodbye at the school gates – no, Sarah Jane, no!!
• She asks Alan for parenting advice after seeing how close he and Maria are, and he gives her a clue to a possible mystery
• She starts to investigate Cold Fire, and gives Luke a little pep talk
• She goes to one of the other Cold Fire schools to investigate
• She goes to Cold Fire to confront them about what she's discovered, and assigns Maria and Luke some sneaking around duties of their own
• She and the kids work out what the Slitheen are up to, with a little help from Mr Smith
• They figure out how to defeat the Slitheen, and run to the school to save the world!
• Sarah gets on the phone to UNIT to tidy up the mess the Slitheen left
• She, Luke and Maria get to make up a cover story for the Slitheen incident
Capture, Rescue and Mortal Peril:
• She gets chased by a Slitheen! But she hides and then escapes with the help of her perfume!
• She and the sonic lipstick rescue the children from the evil technology block!
• She and Luke try to shut down the Slitheen's evil machine, but they're grabbed by Slitheen
• Sarah throws the sonic lipstick to Luke and he uses it to save the day!
• Sarah tries to save the Slitheen child, but it's too late!

• 'Just shut up for the minute, will you? I'm busy, and right now, you're not important.' - Sarah to Clyde - good to know motherhood hasn't mellowed her at all...
• 'It's getting like Clapham Junction up here!' - Sarah, on her overcrowded attic
• 'No Mr Smith, no sonic lipstick, no Plan B. But we are the only people in the world who can stop this! And we will. Time to go back to school!' - Sarah psyches the kids up to save the world
• 'Daddy, she's come back!' 'So what? She's an old woman with a funny lipstick – end of.' - The Slitheen discuss Sarah
• 'Bye now, love to the Brig!' - Sarah, on the phone to UNIT
• 'So where is he now then, this Doctor?' 'Still out there – still wandering, still wonderful… And he left me behind with his legacy, I suppose. To help and to protect, to make a stand and to never give up.' - Clyde and Sarah
Wardrobe Appreciation
First off, we see Sarah hanging around the attic in this nice white shirt, with lovely chunky belt!

Style Watch:
Sarah_JaneSmith: I love these new outfits, especialy the red vest top, i'll alwasy remember that outfit because that's what she was wearing when i met her! yay! I prefer the Purple coat though to her white one she wore in this story. 10/10
paranoidangel: I like the boots and jeans and coat, and while the red & white tops look good together, they do make her look fat. Which although impressive, isn't terribly flattering. 8/10
Llin: The boots are wonderful, I wish we'd seen more of them! The rest is nice and looks good, especially the coat, but I miss the purple one, and it's all a bit... normal. 8/10
Sarah Watch:
Sarah_JaneSmith: She's awesome in this, she's so great with Luke, every scene with those two is brilliant, i love them both. Sarah Jane lights up the screen everytime she appears, she's amazing! 10/10
paranoidangel: She saves the world, although she needs Luke to do the actual work once she's figured it out. 8/10
Llin: Fabulous! The scenes between her and Luke are adorable, and she's actiony and saves the world... again! Hooray! 10/10
Story Watch:
Sarah_JaneSmith: I still hate the slitheen but i did quite like the kiddy slitheen, Clyde is a definate improvement from Kelsey, the plot was a bit dodgy in the science department but then again when has Doctor Who ever been correct with that? A great story to start off with for sure! 9/10
paranoidangel: It just felt a bit rushed and I never quite understood what the Slitheen were up to. 6/10
Llin: I didn't completely understand what the Slitheen were up to, but I didn't even realise that I didn't understand until it was pointed out to me, because I was just having so much fun and getting caught up in the story! Which is the point, really. 9/10
