Silly Doctor! • She helps the Doctor to throw Eldrad down into the abyss • She says goodbye to the Doctor and leaves the TARDIS! Capture, Rescue and Mortal Peril: • She gets trapped under rocks, oh no! The Doctor gets her out. • She is possessed by Eldrad • The Doctor rescues her from reactor chamber • The Doctor saves her from falling down an abyss Quotes: • ‘Listen, I don’t want to make any snap decisions, but this isn’t South Croydon…’ - Sarah to the Doctor, as they arrive in a quarry. • ‘It’s no use! No, there’s nothing more to say because Eldrad must live.’ – Sarah, in a creepy possessed voice. • ‘Careful! That’s not as ’armless as it looks!’ – Sarah, on Eldrad’s hand. • ‘Oh, no, that’s not fair, not agai—’ – Sarah, about to be hypnotised by the Doctor. • ‘Eldrad must live!’ ‘What?’ ‘Just testing…’ – Sarah, teasing the Doctor. ![]() • ‘Are we dead?’ ‘No.’ ‘Are you sure?’ ‘Yes.’ – Sarah and the Doctor, after the “unexplosion”. • ‘Maybe we should try and communicate with Eldrad.’ ‘How, use hand signals?’ – The Doctor and Sarah. • ‘I think you’d better do as he says this time.’ ‘Yeah, you’re right, I should… but I’m not going to!’ – Dr Watson tries to persuade Sarah not to follow the Doctor into the nuclear plant. • ‘I worry about you. Look, anyway, who found that thing?’ ‘You did.’ ‘Right. So, I’m involved. It could have been me, not Driscoll! And besides, I’m from Earth, and you’re not.’ ‘That’s true.’ ‘Exactly.’ ‘Yes, but…’ ‘Aaah, but what?’ ‘I worry about you.’ ‘So? Be careful.’ ‘We’ll both be careful.’ ‘Right.’ – Sarah justifies herself after following the Doctor. • ‘Off course, are we?’ – Sarah, nonchalantly eating a banana as the TARDIS shakes about. • ‘Is that Kastria?’ ‘It is.’ ‘It’s very nice.’ – As Sarah and Eldrad look at the windswept wasteland, Sarah wins the award for Least Sincere Compliment Ever. • ‘If they’re dead, you’d think we’d have seen some bodies by now.’ ‘We have.’ ‘Eh?’ ‘Well, if you’re made of stone you crumble into sand. We’re walking on them.’ ‘Eww! Eewww!’ – Sarah and the Doctor. • ‘It’s an abyss.’ ‘It’s a long way down, too!’ – The Doctor and Sarah, after she almost falls down it. • ‘Why is she a he?’ – Sarah, after Eldrad’s regeneration. • ‘Well, I quite liked her, but I couldn’t stand him!’ – Sarah, on Eldrad’s incarnations. • ‘I must be mad! I’m sick of being cold, and wet, and hypnotised left, right and centre. I’m sick of being shot at, savaged by bug-eyed monsters, never knowing if I’m coming or going – or been! Oh, I want a bath, I want my hair washed… I just want to feel human again!’ ‘Forget the zeus plug, I’ll have the sonic screwdriver.’ ‘And boy am I sick of that sonic screwdriver! I’m going to pack my goodies and I’m going home… I said, I’m going to pack my goodies and I am going home! Right! Excuse me!’ ‘What was that you… I don’t know why she goes on like this. There’s really nothing the matter at all.’ – Sarah and the Doctor. • ‘You’re a good girl, Sarah.’ ‘Oh, look, it’s too late apologising now, everything’s packed, I’ve got to go!’ ‘What? How did you know?’ ‘What?’ – Sarah learns that she must leave the TARDIS. • ‘Don’t forget me.’ ‘Oh, Sarah. Don’t you forget me.’ – Sarah and the Doctor. • ‘You know, travel does broaden the mind.’ – Sarah. • ‘This isn’t Hillview Road! I bet it isn’t even South Croydon! Oh… he blew it!’ – Sarah, laughing, in what we know turns out to be Aberdeen. Wardrobe Appreciation It's one main outfit this time around, with just a couple of variations. And what an outfit. Yes, it's the now-legendary Andy Pandy striped overalls ensemble. I adore this outfit, really I do. I want one for myself. ![]() How does she make something that sounds so awful in theory look so fantastic? Check out some of the details - I'm not sure whether or not I like the watch, but it's certainly interesting. And those trainers are cute! ![]() ![]() She has a headscarf, too, but it's only for the first few minutes - she's wearing it after the rocks fall on her, but they must have taken it off by the time we see her at the hospital. ![]() While's she's in the hospital, she wears a hospital gown very briefly: ![]() Later on she wears the Doctor's coat, because it's very cold on Kastria. ![]() And, at the very end, she wears a lovely white jacket. ![]() The Panel Said... Style Watch: paranoidangel: Those red dungarees. She does manage to pull them off but the best thing you can say about them is that they're memorable. But would be better on a 5 year old. 1/10 and that's only for wearing the Doctor's coat. Cadi: The Andy Pandy thing? Erm...no...*shudder* hhertzof: You may hate me for this, but I liked the red and white striped outfit. The fluffy coat was a bit much. The Doctor's coat was adorable. 7/10 Llin: If there is anything in the world more awesome than that outfit, I have yet to see it. 10/10 Sarah_JaneSmith: : I Absolutely positively love those andy pandy overalls! she is so cute in them. 10+/10 Sarah Watch paranoidangel: She's cool while possessed by Eldrad but not a great deal of use otherwise. Which is a shame for her last story. 3/10 hhertzof: Sarah under mind control, what a novel concept. I thought she pulled it off quite well though. She just didn't have enough to do, and then he left her. In Aberdeen! 6/10 Llin: She did not loads, but it's the way she does it... 8/10 Sarah_JaneSmith: ooooooh i love possessed Sarah, i cried when she left though, seriously! 10/10 Story Watch: paranoidangel: I did quite like Eldrad and it did keep you guessing about what Sarah was going to do. But basically, it's boring, which the last scene doesn't really make up for. 4/10 hhertzof: Fluff, but not bad fluff. 6/10 Llin: Gets a bit weird near the end, but great fun. 8/10 Sarah_JaneSmith: Episode three is a bit weird, but the rest of it is great, i love you Sarah Jane!! 10/10 Bonus Pictures ![]() The Doctor is having a very long day... ![]() OH MY GOD!
