Quotes:

* ‘So who's the lucky fella then?' 'His name is Peter Dalton, and yes, he's very lucky - and rather marvellous!' - Clyde and Sarah
* 'I should be angry - why am I not angry?' 'Mistress - I detect you are experiencing a heightened emotional state. Alpha waves high, heartbeat fast, increased serotonin.' 'Oh, K9, always the romantic!' - Sarah and K9
* 'I cut myself off from people all those years. How could anyone like me, with what I know, what I do, ever have proper friends? But then I got you - and Maria and Clyde and Rani - and things changed. And perhaps they're changing on this front, too!' - Sarah, to Luke
* 'K9, shut up, get back inside! He mustn't see you! It's all meant to be normal!' - Sarah, in a flap
* 'I don't quite know how to say this...' 'What's the matter?' 'Well, nothing's the matter - that's it. Sarah Jane, I love you.' 'Good, because the funny thing is, I love you too.' - Peter and Sarah, aww!
* 'The world can look after itself! I'm busy with something normal, for a change, and I don't want anything, any of this, getting in the way.' - Sarah, under the influence of the ring
* 'Thought you might have gone for the Doctor to give you away.' 'I need somebody reliable. And I'm so very, very glad it's you. Besides, where would I send the invite - Metebilis Three?' - Luke and Sarah
* 'If any person can show just cause or impediment, why they may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace.' 'Stop this wedding, now!' - The registrar and the Doctor
* 'Oh, oh, she's here... Sarah!' 'Sarah Jane - she doesn't like being called Sarah.' 'She does by me.' - The Doctor explains to Rani that some people are allowed to call her Sarah...
* 'He wanted us to be happy!' 'Then why the ring, why hypnotise me?' 'He said he would protect you. But you accepted my proposal before the ring went on. You said you loved me before the ring went on. Didn't you love me? Didn't you mean it?' 'Oh, Peter!' - Peter and Sarah
* 'You said you'd do anything to save me - if you love me, you know what you have to do.' - Sarah, forced to persuade Peter to sacrifice himself
* 'You got one thing exactly right - Sarah Jane and I, we were made for each other. The perfect match. And I know what she would do.' 'But I chose you because you didn't have the strength!' 'You really don't know my Sarah Jane, do you? She gave me the strength. And I withdraw my agreement!' - Peter and the Trickster
* 'I wish I'd always known you.' 'I love you, Peter.' 'And I love you, Sarah Jane Dalton.' - Oh! Peter and Sarah say their final goodbyes, and sales of Kleenex skyrocket
* 'You came all that way, for me.' 'Well, you're so important! Not just to me. The Trickster wanted to end your story, but it goes on. The things you've done, Sarah, they're pretty impressive. But oh, the things you're going to do...' - Sarah and the Doctor
* 'Is this the last time I'm ever going to see you?' 'I don't know. I hope not!' 'Bye, Doctor. Until the next time.' 'Don't forget me, Sarah Jane.' 'No-one's ever going to forget you.' - Sarah and the Doctor
* 'You were right, he is amazing.' 'And so are we!' - Clyde and Sarah

Wardrobe Appreciation

Sarah wears no fewer than seven outfits in this story, all of them adorable, and not a waistcoat in sight! We'll be glad to see them again next week, though!

First up is a smart outfit for a date with Peter, jeans and jacket, with a cute bag and funky boots:

Then, briefly, there's the cute chunky cardigan we've seen before:

Then it's on to the next date outfit - the same jacket and boots as before, but with a dress! A little reminiscent of the one from Robot, perhaps?

The next one's in a similar vein, but green, with a little pink cardigan. Plus shoes, actual shoes!

You know what's coming next. Yes. When I started this website, I could never have dreamed that one day I would be posting pictures of Sarah Jane Smith's actual wedding dress. The thrill! And isn't it absolutely beautiful?

After that, it's tricky to recover, but there are still two more outfits - one from a brief glimpse at the future - with fluffy slippers! - and then it's back to the cardigan again when Sarah gets home.
