I mean, you're not doing this story because you think there's aliens involved or anything?' 'I don't see aliens behind every bush, you know, Maria! I'm not a conspiracy theorist!' - Maria and Sarah • 'That's Lance. He's the nuts!' 'Is that good?' 'Very.' - Brandon, Sarah and Maria • 'It works! My machine works!' - Sarah gets her Mad Scientist moment • 'Aliens! I knew it!' - Not a conspiracy theorist, Sarah? Still, she does always turn out to be right... • 'I've heard a lot about this place, apparently it's the… the nuts!' 'Okay, let's agree to never say that ever again!' - Sarah's attempt to use teenage slang doesn't impress Maria • 'What are we looking for?' 'You'll know when you find it. Just see what bubbles to the top.' 'Does that mean you don't know?' 'Not as such!' - Maria and Sarah • 'Sarah Jane Smith, journalist.' 'Who's she?' 'My work experience girl.' 'It was either this or putting up scaffolding!' - Sarah, Mr Grantham and Maria • 'Oh, please don't be offended, but this isn't the first time I've had a gun pointed at me, and guns from other planets… Ooh, afraid I've rather lost count!' 'Will you die happy if I tell you that I'm impressed?' 'I'll die happy when I get Lance Metcalfe and the other twenty-three children you've kidnapped back to their parents safe and well!' - Sarah and Mr Grantham • 'Just a moment, just a moment, please? Bit of lippie, last request?' - Baddies take note - don't allow Sarah a last request, she'll only use it to kick your ass... ![]() • 'Are you all right?' 'UNIT training, never forget it. Just getting a little older, that's all!' - Maria and Sarah and a UNIT mention, hooray! • 'I know, I probably should have called you first, but…' 'Not at all, Mr Grantham! I'm always delighted to study new forms of human low-life in the comfort of my own home.' 'You are a cool old bird, I'll give you that much!' - Mr Grantham and Sarah. Has anyone noticed that, whenever someone calls Sarah old, something horrible usually happens to them in fairly short order? And quite right, too... • 'You're despicable!' 'And you're done for!' (Maria shocks him) 'No, Mr Grantham, I think you're the one who's done with.' - Sarah and Mr Grantham • 'I never thought I would lay eyes on a sight like this again.' 'It's incredible! Even after everything I've seen, I never thought I'd see this.' 'Maybe if everybody could see the Earth from up here, they might appreciate it more.' - Sarah and Maria, looking down on the Earth • 'My name is Sarah Jane Smith and I want my son back!' - Sarah confronts the Mistress • 'Taking life is never the answer, General Kudlak, whether we've been wronged by one man, or a whole planet. It's always the innocents that suffer.' - Sarah Wardrobe Appreciation Sarah has just the one main outfit so far in this story, consisting of jeans, nice boots, and a blue top and matching cardigan: ![]() There's a pretty snazzy jacket too, with lots of buttons! ![]() And of course, that staple of every girl's wardrobe, the welding mask... ![]() The Panel Said... Style Watch: Sarah_JaneSmith: It's a nice outfit, looks good on her, the colours nice, it's just a bit......ordinary. i really want to see some more funky outfits. 8/10 paranoidangel: I wasn't keen on that coat for some reason. The top and cardigan were alright, nothing special. 7/10 Llin: The whole thing was nice and looked gorgeous. Not that exciting, though! 7/10 Sarah Watch: Sarah_JaneSmith: she's a freakin mad scientist! loved that bit in the hill, and the line "No Mr Grantham, i think you're the one who's done with" is my favourite line of the series! 10/10 paranoidangel: She was so cool in this, investigating, building machines and getting the bad guys to do what she wants them to do. 10/10 Llin: She builds things, and we actually get to see her do Proper Journalism for once, which is nice. 10/10 Story Watch: Sarah_JaneSmith: Weakest one of the lot i think, the moral message about war was hammered home a bit too much, but it had some good lines in it and the alien was cool. 8/10 paranoidangel: I quite enjoyed it - I really liked Luke in this. 8/10 Llin: Great story, lots of fun moments for everybody! 10/10 Bonus Pictures ![]() Luke and Clyde bond.
